Delightful Departures aims to provide the best possible service to our guests at all times and will do everything we can (within reason) to ensure that you have a great time traveling with us.
Payment consents to all provisions in the general list, as well as terms and conditions of specific packages.
Rates: All rates are subject to change without notice and only full payment will guarantee rates. Delightful Departures is not responsible for single rate charges incurred due to a roommate not being available.
Payments: A minimum $500 per person deposit is due to secure your booking. Final payment is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. Reservations made within 60 days prior to departure require immediate payment in full. Regardless of when reservations are made, certain components may require payment in full at time of booking.
Forms of Payment: Delightful Departures accepts the following payment methods: Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card or American Express. Additional fees may be applied when paying by card or online. All returned checks are subject to a $25.00 service charge.
Travel Insurance: For your protection, we strongly recommend to our guests that they purchase a fully comprehensive travel insurance package that covers accidents, medical, baggage, and trip cancellation and interruption.
Refunds: All requests for refunds must be made in writing within 30 days of completion of travel. No refund or compensation is due payable by Delightful Departures for any unused trip portions. No refund will be made for unused or partially unused tour features.
Cancellation Policy: Initial $500 deposits are generally non-refundable. We will always do our best to minimize any losses in the unlikely event of cancellation. However, any refunds are subject to the entity with which we book.
NOTE: Amounts received beyond the $500 deposit are subject to the following fees:
- 90-60 days prior to travel is subject to loss of 15%
- 60-30 days prior to travel is subject to loss of 50%
- 30 days or less prior to travel is subject to no refund
Program Changes: Delightful Departures and operators reserve the right to rearrange the order of any itinerary or to cancel or substitute elements of any schedule without notice when local conditions require such changes.
Delightful Departures representatives can prohibit participation on dives at their discretion based on lack of respect for marine park rules and regulations, lack of respect or “handling” of any marine life, alcohol consumption between dives, or not abiding by international safe diving rules. In this case no refunds will be given. Delightful Departures shall not be liable for, or responsible to, any tour member in the event of dissatisfaction based on personal opinion regarding the standard of service or accommodation provided by any Service Provider nor is liable or responsible for any disappointment, distress, and lack of enjoyment arising from any act or omission whatsoever. Delightful Departures will only acknowledge liability in the case of proven justified complaints in writing relating to specific and tangible inadequacies of facilities, accommodation or services provided. In the event of such a complaint the customer is requested to immediately contact Delightful Departures or the Service Provider, dive charter etc., for remedial action to resolve any problem or irregularity at that time. Only if such a complaint has been lodged will Delightful Departures consider fully investigating and acting on any complaint.
Not Included: Some additional expenses not covered include but are not limited to the following: Gratuities, air fare, country visa fees, dive equipment, nitrox, excess baggage charges, incidental charges of a personal nature such as telephone calls, rental vehicles, optional activities, beverages not included in the meal plan, lunches and dinners (other than those specified as included).
Responsibility: Delightful Departures and/or suppliers of services pursuant to, or in connection with these itineraries, shall act only as agents of the tour members in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants, or any other service and do not assume any liability or monetary losses whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of default of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour, or by an Act of God. Further, Delightful Departures does not assume any liability of monetary losses for any damages due to delay, sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or other causes beyond their personal control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing, or acts of any government of authority. The passage contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. The payment for a reservation of the trip shall constitute consent to all provisions contained herein. The prices of these tours are based on prices in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice.
